1 oil leak
One of the common faults of oil leakage in vacuum pump maintenance, mainly occurs in the oil window of the vacuum pump, the oil tank gasket, and the motor bearing shaft seal. lead to oil leakage. Oil leakage from the oil window is caused by the aging of the oil window due to the long-term use of the vacuum pump, causing cracks, or the aging of the adhesive between the oil window and the oil tank, resulting in the leakage of pump oil; there are two front oil seals and rear oil seals on the motor shaft. Each oil seal, any aging failure will cause oil leakage; the oil tank is connected to the motor through the adapter, and there is a sealing ring at the junction of the oil tank and the adapter, which plays the role of sealing the oil tank. If it ages, it can also cause the vacuum pump to leak oil. In addition, there is a felt pad on the adapter, which plays the role of recovering the pump oil, and if it is full of oil, the vacuum pump will also leak oil.
The solution to oil leakage in vacuum pump maintenance is to replace the aging oil window, shaft seal, gasket and felt pad that has been filled with pump oil. After the maintenance is completed, use Edward vacuum pump oil to flush the vacuum pump before oil filling, and use solvent to clean the filter screen at the oil filling port to keep the oil tank clean.
2 The ultimate vacuum degree of the vacuum pump cannot be drawn
Vacuum pump maintenance When this fault occurs, the air tightness of the vacuum system should be checked first to see if there is a slight air leak. Secondly, the gas ballast should be turned on, and the pump should run for about 30 min to drain the compressible vapor not caused by the oil pollution of the pump, and eliminate the influence of the compressible vapor on the ultimate vacuum degree. After eliminating the above two factors, the main reasons for the vacuum pump not being able to pump the ultimate vacuum degree are as follows: the pump oil is polluted and needs to be changed; the oil filter in the pump is blocked, causing the oil circuit of the compression oil injection system to be blocked, and the Insufficient oil will lead to poor sealing of the pump body. At this time, the internal oil filter needs to be cleaned; the valve of the oil distributor is deformed, worn or damaged, which can also lead to insufficient oil supply. At this time, the valve of the oil distributor should be checked and replaced; The rotor of the vacuum pump is worn out or the spring tension in the rotor is insufficient, resulting in the poor isolation of the suction chamber and the exhaust chamber, resulting in a decrease in the vacuum pumping performance of the vacuum pump. At this time, the rotor and the spring should be replaced, and the rotor and pump cavity should be cleaned; Check the exhaust valve to see if its action fails, resulting in poor exhaust, and replace the exhaust valve if necessary.
3 The vacuum pump does not start
The vacuum pump cannot be started mainly because the vacuum pump cannot start running after being powered on. Vacuum pump maintenance should first check the circuit part of the vacuum pump, such as whether the fuse is burnt, and whether the circuit part has any vital components burned out. After troubleshooting the circuit part, the following two factors should be considered:
(1) The motor is burnt out. The main reason is that the stator coil of the motor is burned, which causes many reasons, such as excessive instantaneous current, wear of the motor bearing after a long time of use, resulting in increased frictional resistance of the bearing, increased motor power, and increased temperature, resulting in motor burnout. At this time, the motor bearing should be checked first, and then the motor coil should be checked. When the bearing is damaged, replace the bearing; when the motor coil is burnt, the motor should be repaired and the stator coil should be rewound. When the bearing and coil are seriously damaged, the motor should be replaced.
(2) The rotary vane is blocked. The main performance is that the frictional resistance between the rotary vane and the inner surface of the pump cavity is too large, so that the motor cannot drive the rotor (rotary vane). The reason is that the rotary vane is deformed, the spring in the rotor cannot be reset after it is opened, or the resultant force of the spring pressure and the centrifugal force of the rotary vane is too large, resulting in excessive frictional resistance between the rotary vane and the inner surface of the pump cavity. At this time, the rotary vane and the spring should be repaired, and when they cannot be repaired, the two should be replaced.
